    Breeding Rabbits?

I haven't really seen too many people breeding rabbits.. I see a lot of people feeding them to larger constrictors, but never really breeding them.. I've always heard they multiply like crazy lol.. So let me know what you guys think on the topic.. I was thinking of breeding them to feed my one burmese python.. Just a simple 1.1 or 1.2... And when the babies hit appropriate size i could just humanely euthanize them in a co2 chamber and freeze them..
    Thanks,
    ~Brandon

    Re: Breeding Rabbits?

Reason many dont breed them is the size of the cages needed to do so successfully. Not to mention they stink quite a bit more than rodents.

If not mistaken CO2 is the worse way to euthanize due to their size when larger. Im sure someone who does breed them will chime in on euthanizing the larger ones. I for one wouldnt breed them due to the food they eat and mess when mating.

    Re: Breeding Rabbits?

I bred them many years ago when I had burmese and it didnt go so well. They seemed to eat the babies alot and varius other problems. I'm sure you can do it if you want but it was a pian in the butt for me. I dont have anymore large pythons so all I breed is rats now.

    Re: Breeding Rabbits?

Thanks guys, i think i will just switch my burm over to F/T rabbits soon, and just store bulk amounts of them from rodent pro.. Bulk frozen rodents has been seeming like the best way to go...

Try monstercages rabbits or pigs. Higher quality than rodent pro. Pigs are a great source to get them giants into another growth spurt.
