I plan on buying a het pied female next year (2010) sometime, maybe in late spring or summer. I have a 100% het pied male that I was planning on breeding this season to a normal female and get 50% poss. het pied normals. Since I'm getting a het pied female anyway, would it be worth it to breed for 50% hets? I could just pair up Sadis with Auxy and hope for spiders.

Well either way its going to be around 2 to 3yrs before you can try to produce pieds.I would go with making spiders

i would just wait and try for pieds when your female (when you get her) is ready to go, cuz you would have to pretty much hold back all you female 50% poss wait 3 yrs and then try and you have chance that they are all normals. atleast with the new het you know your atleast getting the het to het odds.

I would make the poss hets. It's never a good idea to put all of your hopes into one female. Believe me I learned the hard way. Unless you can afford a couple 100% hets I would just stick to your poss het plan.

Make spiders now. in three or four years your het female will be ready.
