Wow my little vanilla female has decided she wont eat anything OTHER than rat pups. Big one with eyes open too! And she is no where near that size.

I think it depends on the snake. As long as they can get it down rather quickly it can be a tad bigger than they are. It took me weeks to get this little girl eating and it was all because everything I offered her was too small for her taste.
