great looking spider! maybe someone can help me out here....obviously this spider has solid double lines going down its spine with the pattern...ive seen this on some spiders and ive seen others with just random webbed patterns...is one more characteristic of the true spider morph than the other or is it just personal preference. not sure if this is genetically linked or not.

I wouldn't say it's genetic but if you selectively breed them then after a few generations then you can consistently produce more of these striped ones. So in a way it is genetic but not a distinct morph.

I am begining to think it is somewhat genetic. At the last Cleveland show there was a vendor that had at least three spiders that were striped like mine. They were selling them as "striped spiders" or something along those lines. I just thought it was odd that they had that many "striped spiders" that were the same age...possibly even from the same clutch? Either way...I hope the stripe shows up when she is of breedable size and I try for bee's. That would make for a sweet bee!
