this is my first season for breeding. I 've some question.

    1. I take male and female together for a week and seperate them. Is it right or not. If not what should i do

    2. After breeding how can i observate female that she is pregnant or not .

    3. How long after breeding the female began to pregnant.

    4. If she didn't pregnant can I repeat them suddenly.

in the pic is my male pied 07 and 700 g. is he too small for female pastel 3 kg. thank so much for answer.

I have not done any breeding yet next year should be my first... You should leave them 3 days together max and atleast 2 days off from what I understand. Your male should be big enough for your female. as far as her being pregnant(gravid is the term) You should be able to notice her ovulating. here try this linkhttp://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html

    Hi,

I'm very far from an expert but here's what I have seen recommended on the board.

3 days paired and then 3 days off - and do not re-introduce them until 24-48 hours after feeding. Keep an eye on the males condition to make sure he does not start losing weight and check around his vent after each pairing to check for problems.

You will have to wait until you see her ovulating to be certain.

Very variable - it can be weeks or months. If you can learn to palpate to feel the follicles growing inside her it will help you know how close you are getting.

You can repeat the pairings after giving them a 3 day break - I think the recommended minimum is to pair them at least once a month?

    It depends on him really.

I would certainly try him at 700g.
