i got a red milk snake O_o

well, heres the story..
my mom asked if i wanted a free 4 n a half foot corn snake, the owners dont know what to do with it, they want to make it into a belt.. so i said sure ill take it.. so about a week later, my mom says shes on her way with the "corn snake" i look into the tank, and its definately not a corn and shes huuuge.

so, then im wondering.. well, its got to be some sort of milk snake.. well i did about 10 seconds of research and find out its a red milk snake.. dont think ive even heard of em, cant find any on the kingsnake.com classifieds then i find out theyre not really kept as pets because theyre usually strict lizard eaters. people dont like to breedthem becasue of their difficult feeding habits, so i figure if i breed her ill put a honduran or sinaloan to her

Definitely not a corn or ratsnake... unless it's a hybrid cross of some sort.

What is the length? I don't think that I have ever seen a red milk that large or it could just be the picture playing tricks on me.

shes close to 5ft.. havent measured exactly yet.. i heard they dont get that big.. so hmmm, but what else could she be??

Red milks rarely exceed 3 ft as adults.

I am not sure. It could be a hybrid of sorts. The side pattern looks like corn snake, rat snake or eastern milk. Those would be about right in terms of size.

Better pictures would be helpful especially of the head. The red and orange color definately look close to classic cornsnake colors.

i was thinking hybrid, the head is tiny like a corn snake, and someone else said maybe an eastern, ill get more pics up soon, but i bet it is some sort of hybrid

Cornduran= Corn X Honduran milk. Although I have had a red milk that was a whoppin 40", most don't reach 3'. Nice looking snake!
