    Proper Enclosure...Finally!

As I hope many here remember, I rescued a Ball Python a couple of months ago. The cage she came with was totally inappropriate for her, it was made for an arboreal, air loving, low humidity, reptile. She had lived in it for 3 years, with no problems, so, I toughed it out until I could afford the proper type of enclosure. Well, guess what I got for christmas...the Proper type of enclosure.

Serena loves it. I have the heat up to where it should be, the humidity is perfect, and I have never seen her seem happier. She is getting ready to shed, so is a little shed grumpy, but, hopefully, with her humidity where it should be, and her temps proper, she will have a good one piece shed this time. Last time it was patchy and came of in flakes.....here is hoping. She is out slithering around more, as the temps are great.

I will try to post pictures of the new enclosure soon.

thats awesome, congrats! When we rescued a couple of ball pythons, they had been living in a glass enclosure (together!!) for the past 4-5 years. The people also didn't feed them properly and they never shed properly. We finally were able to get them into their own spots, and first shed was perfect in both of them, and they're eating great! isn't it awesome when you get something right and the animals shows their appreciation
