    Re: Thermostat question

If you are using the thermostat for BPs then you don't really need a night drop.

I have a johnson controls from Reptilebasics.com and it works great. It is a little less expensive than the herpstat but is just as reliable in my opinion. It is an on/off thermostat though.

    Re: Thermostat question

My Ranco works great and is pretty accurite. And the fact that its only aroudn $80 wired is very nice. I don't see any reason to have to get a night drop if you only have a small portion of the tub on the heating element.

    Re: Thermostat question

I'm sure the others work fine for some but I would stick with the herpstat over anything else but thats just my opinion. Night drop can be used to cool the females if you have interest in breeding in the future.

    Re: Thermostat question

I recommend the herpstat also. I have never used the ranco or jhonson controls thermostat but I do have several herpstat II and a regular herpstat and I love them.
