    Hello from Alabama

Thought I better introduce myself names Randy, I'm currently setting up to work with BP's and ATB's among a few other things. Looks like a great forum so I figured i'd join up and find out. Hope to talk to everyone soon.

Welcome to the site man, it is definitely a great one

Robertsdale sounds familiar, but I can't remember where it's at. I'm up in the Huntsville area

    Re: Hello from Alabama

    Thanks for the welcome ya'll!

I'm located in Robertsdale which is in Baldwin County, about 30 minutes north of Gulf Shores and the Gulf of Mexico(if that gives you an idea of where I'm at). I'm looking forward to talking with everyone and learning from everybody. I'll be on and off for a day or two though I am in the middle of treating and redoing my reptile room(someone brought mites to the party).

Ok that's why it sounds familiar then, I've been to Gulf Shores several times. Long drive from this end of the state but ts the closest beach we've got ha

Good luck with the mites, I'm getting through an outbreak myself

    Re: Hello from Alabama

I feel your pain I hate mites! This one falls on me though,I had a rescue ATB I picked up the other day that had about 2 layers of stuck shed and I think the mites were under that. I quarantined it for 2 weeks, got its hydration levels up,got it to eat 2 meals, and got almost all the shed off. Never saw a single mite but 2 days after I took it out of quarantine I saw one crawl into its eye,I pulled back the skin and found quite a few, figures. They spread to 3 others so I'm in the middle of cleaning, bleaching and treatin everyone and everything to be safe,it sucks that's for sure.
