Re: BP eating Frogs?
Even if they were wild caught mice or rats I would not be inclined to feed them to my snakes. I wouldn't attempt to feed wild or captive bred and raised frogs or toads to my snakes. Fair enough that you asked, but my $0.02 is to not attempt it. If you are feeding live mice/rats and cost is getting to you, consider trying to convert to frozen thawed prey. When bought in small bulk quantities they are about half the price of live prey at pet shops.

Re: BP eating Frogs?
As it has heat pits it is most likely primarily an endothermic prey hunter, as an exothermic animal I do not think it would even strike.
That said even if it did DONT FEED YOUR SNAKES WILD ANIMALS. Well, unless you want to run it to the vet so you can get some Flagicyl (I think thats the drug used to kill the intestinal flagelates that it's intestines will be filled with). Or so is my understanding of what happens when you feed it a wild animal. Even if that doesn't happen there are various forms of bacteria that it shouldnt get and could contract from a wild animal, there are also parasites you dont want your snake to get, etc.

I agree. I don't think a BP would normally go for a frog. And before trying to feed one, consider that alot of frogs have toxic secretions from their skin...

Re: BP eating Frogs?
If the snake is still young, and hasn't had that many meals with you, continue to feed live. Then once it's established with you, and has enough weight on it, try to convert to f/t. Younger BPs are hard to get on f/t.

I think it would be worse for the frog than for the snake. But I still wouldnt recommend it.
