Talking She Looks A LOT Better!!

After I stopped feeding squash a little bit ago (just to see if that changed anything in her feces) her droppings have gotten more solid. Today she took a nice solid crap, and it didn't smell as bad as the more runny ones. So, I'm starting to think the squash was causing her to have these watery droppings. She's eating her greens a lot more too; I normally give her a huge plate of greens and she eats about half of it. And she also seems a lot more active, and her appetite is getting better. I fed her quite a few crickets yesterday and she didn't hesitate to eat them.

Every night I take her out of her enclosure and let her run around my room. Though, of course I keep an eye on her. I know she doesn't want to be stuck in that cage all day long, and she does need her exercise, so I let her run around my room until she gets tired. I know when she's tired because she just LOVES to jump back up on my bed and steal my favorite spot on the bed..

The hopper I fed her seems to be working, she looks like she gained some weight and she's pooping normally so I know she isn't impacted. Sorry for this long post, but I'm just really happy. After letting her run around my room and changing up her diet she's been a lot more calm with me and she doesn't move around as much when I handle her.. she's actually sleeping on my shoulder right now LOL.. Oh silly dragons.. Anywho, if you want some pictures I'll try to get some later or tomorrow. This is just a little update with her

LOL okay okay, I'll get some pics once my camera is done charging. And tonight when I let her run around my room I'll take some pics then. I also changed up her enclosure so I will take a pic of that.. is it okay if the basking spot gets like.. ohh.. 118-119F? >.>

Her cool side doesn't have a log, but the temp stays right where I want it.

For babies i know that its ok. for adults... umm it should be fine as long as the cool side stays around 80 and you have to keep her REALLY well hydrated.... like REALLY well hydrated at those temps she can get dehydrated really fast. My beardies basking temps get up that high. but i also have sand in my tanks so they need it to help them digest... even though i've never actually seen either eat any sand. I just spray the hot side every day and drop water on their noses and bathe usually every other day. and it should be fine. just be sure to have water. ... i think i've made myself clear lol

I did change my substrate over to sand and I gotta say it is 100x better than paper towels. When the Beardie takes a dump it doesn't smell at all, and that's awesome for me because her cramp would stink up my entire second story of my house LOL. Everyday I take her out once during the day and spray some water in her mouth until she stops drinking and doesn't want any anymore. I also bathe her a few times a week, but I will start bathing her every other day.

Lol, yea if you have sand then its def a good idea to have the temps a bit higher like that. like really it would be ok to have it around 115 or so but that's fine. not gonna hurt ur beardiee. lol. i'm actualy about to give mine a bath right now hahaha and cuz the're both shedding haha.

Yeah I just got a little paranoid because this is the first animal I have that actually like it HOT LOL. The highest temps I had to keep my snakes in were 94F, so 120F makes me paranoid, but the Beardies like it I guess. The cool thing is, since I live in Arizona, I have a pet I can take outside with me when it gets hot because it won't overheat LOL

LOL I might as well give my girl a bath while waiting for the camera to charge up. Hopefully it will have some battery left during the bath time so I can take some pics of her xD.

Oh poot! LOL.. umm.. well I checked on the temps and it read 128.5F

Is that fine or should I rearrange her log once more so her basking spot isn't that hot? Now THAT makes me paranoid right there LOL....
