    They have one of those beauties at the Henry-Doorly zoo here. Haven't managed to get a good photo of him yet, as he's in the Kingdom of Night dome, and it's kept dark during the day. He's from a clutch that was found many years ago now, and he's fully grown. HUGE pure white animal. Gorgeous.

    I doubt any money exchanged hands. Unless the fisherman just so happened to be one of the few licensed in the state to collect wild gators, it would have been 100% illegal. He probably just caught them and called wildlife in fisheries. We love our gator and they are very well protected legally.

    I remember seeing the first bunch that was caught when I was a kid. The adults that they display at the zooare wonderful animals. Very big deep blue eyes. I have pictures somewhere I will have to look around.
