DIY wooden salad bowl snake house.

My biggest female has been buttering her hips for the past few months to get into her old house/hide so I went to wallyworld today and bought these 10"x10" wooden salad bowls and cut out a door with the jigsaw. I put a soda can in one to give a size reference. Cost less than $12 for both.

Hope this helps someone needing to make a hide that looks fairly nice for a less than small BP or other.

These look cool. Do the labels say what type of wood they are made of?

3.5 Normal BP Some are P. Het for Axanthic, and Snow
    1.1 Mojave BP
    1.0 Spider BP
    0.1 Pastel BP
    2.0 Fire BP
    1.0 Ghost
    0.1 Possible Axanthic

I am sure someone will ask so...they are made from acacia hardwood and as far as I know that is not on the dangerous to snakes list (unless an acacia tree falls on a snake maybe)

Edit: Haha you beat me to the punch, I didn't even get that typed and posted, fallguy! LOL!

I love DIY stuff where applicable, it saves lots of money. The hide she was in was a black plastic one but the next size up from that same company was $20 each plus shipping.
