How long to wait to re breed

Okay I wanted to find out how long I should wait to rebreed my girls.

First off I have the 3 that don't have babies right now.
1 of those never had any.
    1 had all still born
1 had 8 but didn't take care of any , had to give to another mom.

So I wasn't sure how soon I could try to breed them again.

Also how long do you wait to breed again once babies are weaned?

I'd appreciate any and all the advise so that I know where to go from here.

    thanks

Re: How long to wait to re breed

FYI: Some people will debate this, so use the option you think is best for you and your animals.

Some people keep their male and female rats together at all times (even moms that have babies). In this case, the females will be almost ready to have more pinks once her first litter is weaned. However, the moms (I think) should have some time to re-coup from pregnancy.

Some think it is OK to put the moms back in with the males once they get their babies weaned--in this case, they've had about 3 weeks off to gain some weight back. However, they have had baby rats nursing from them during this time as well.

Some wait about 3 weeks after the babies are weaned; in this case, they've had six weeks to gain weight, 3 of those weeks without babies nursing.

It will really depend on how many rats you have and how many rats you need to produce to feed your snakes. If necessary, leave the males and females together 24/7 until you get a good stock of frozen rats, then cut back on the breedings. However, if you only have one or two snakes to feed, a couple of litters will probably last you for a while, and you can probably use the last option.
