Need help with picking my next snake.

I am wanting to get another snake, i want something bigger than a ball python but smaller than a Burmese python. Something i can handle on my own.

Also, don't jump my throat for wanting another snake. They are incredible! i have the needed income, and space.

You can get a blood. They get fat not long. But I hear they can be feisty. My biggest snake I think Im going to get will be a Coral Sunglow RTB.

I wanted one and I had my wife sold on the looks of the snake and then we went to the SD show and the breeder told her that bloods eat babies or something to that effect. Now I can only marvel at them online.

wow, eats babies? thats wierd. anyway, i am extremely luck im 16, and live with my mom, but she is very supportive of my passion. I LOVE snakes soooo much. a very rare case is when my mom holds my ball python, i have a pic of it, but she was cringing with fear lol...

blood pythons, boa constrictors (BCIs and BCCs), and carpet pythons are at the top of my suggestion list.

Personally I LOVE carpet pythons, and the bigger the better with regards to them IMO

I would look at a Hog Island Boa.

It's like a Columbian red tailed but it doesn't get as big.
I almost picked one of those up before I got my BP.

Re: Need help with picking my next snake.

I've got bloods and now an I.J. Carpet python. Both my bloods are unpredictable despite lots of handling. The smaller one is reliable about 80% of the time, the other it's pretty much 50/50, and you have to kind of read what mood they're in to see if they'd like to come out.

The little carpet python I've only had a few days and picked him (I think it's a boy, I forgot to ask, but I'm really hoping for a girl, I have better luck with girls) up from a show. He's very sweet and curious, tons of fun to watch, and an easy keeper.
