Baby black throat eating
How often do you feed a baby black throat monitor? I asked the breeder so many questions that I forgot to ask this very major one!

Re: Baby black throat eating
Depends on your definition of "baby".
I acquired my V. ornatus at 3 weeks of age, and for the first six months I fed it twice daily. 15 or so adult crickets at noon and an appropriately sized mouse in the early evening.
Good luck with your new acquisition. Not knowing how much to feed something is a sure sign you've done plenty of research on this wonderful animal

Yes, I picked one up from Shawn, the guy that walks one around at the expos. Great guy and really seems like he knows his stuff. He even let my wife walk the male around the expo!

Re: Baby black throat eating
I fed my baby Black throat twice a day, for the first 6-7 months, with a rodent every week.
Upon the 8 month mark, I was doing rodents every other day.....until he was 1 year, then he was on a PURE rodent diet.
