    The last Ciliatus of 2009

    This little guy took his time getting out but looks like he will be worth the wait! This is the last crested egg I had incubating.He isnt quite out yet but I'll post some pics when I get him out and cleaned up.

    They are pretty tiny when they hatch,though you can't tell from the pic this was a freakishly large gecko! The egg was nearly the size of a quarter Usually they are closer to nickel size.

    It should be an extreme just looking at it out of the egg one of the parents was a pin so I'll probally have some partial pinning too.

    Probably some kind of marker. It isn't uncommon to mark gecko eggs- some people mark info (such as intitials to note the pair it came from) or to mark the top of the egg ( like I do).
