    Ball Python Display Tank

I tried to find some old posts but I am not having any luck.

If you could build a tank for display purposes would you do it. If so what size would it be and what kind of decorations.

My thoughts would be a 40 Gallon Breeder. Coco bedding as substrate to keep humidity up. 2 natural looking hides on each end with some type of center display such as a natural log and some vine like plants around the hides to help blend them on each end.

It would not be a highly traveled area of the house but would be more along the lines of "Hey want to see my display tank"

Kind of looking for the wow factor.

I have two planted tanks for mine. I just posted a thread about it here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=111585

Maybe try putting many nice looking plants and vines to make the enclosure look exotic or more jungle-like (if that's what you're going at).

Though I may add in that Ball pythons don't really make great display snakes

A nice boaphile or vision cage would look nicer, it's what mine is in, attractive appearance and easier to hold heat and humidity than a large tank. I have mine in a boaphile cage with a couple decorations (branch, plastic vine). I haven't found a natural looking hide that is secure enough for a ball, may have to make one somehow if you want that. Although, cleaning gets to be a hassle, disinfecting and washing every decoration in there and at best you might see a head sticking out.

    Re: Ball Python Display Tank

I built a really nice display enclosure -- but now I'm wishing I hadn't. I could have built a nice rack for the money I put into a one snake enclosure.

Use the money for a rack instead!!
