bleeding belly scales

I noticed that some of the belly scales of my allbino burmese python have a tiny bit of coagulated bood on the very edges. He did not have this last month, but every so often I see a scale or two like that. He shed 2 weeks ago and looked perfect for the first week. He tries to climb and come out of his cage after lights out and I take him out for a walk around the room every night since he is a pain in the ass ! Have you guys had anything like that happen to your albino burms? Btw this guy is 8.5ft long 3yrs old and i keep him on aspen which I change and spot clean on regular basis. I'm gonna try to upload a picture tomorrow.

Try getting rid of the chips and see if it goes away.

I use newspaper just becuase I dont like spot cleaning. Im a clean freak so when I clean cages I want the whole cage cleaned and disinfected. If it gets worse soak him in a rubbermaid with water and betadine solution and it should go away with his next shed.

It goes away when he sheds, but he'll have a few of those in a few weeks after the shed every time. Does this happen with your burms?

when you have big albinos you tend to notice if something is cut or if they have a mark on there scale alot easier then you would with a normal colored burm. I havent had cuts on there stomachs but I also dont use any substrate other then newspaper. It doesnt look to bad from the photo. Just make sure you keep the area clean so he doesnt get an infection. Betadine will do wonders.

Yes that is true. I soaked him in diluted betadine once but I noticed he had a hard time shedding after that. I know it doesn't look bad or anything but i wanted ti know if this happens to a lot of these animals.

snakes can get hurt or cut on stuff but like I said you usually wont notice small marks like that if it wasnt an albino
