First lock!!

Omg, this is so exciting.
I decided to try if my normal and mojave were willing to make some babies, so I left him in with her over the night. 6am I get up and check on them, and this is the awesome sight that met me.







Of course they have somehow during the night managed to dip the papertowels in the waterbowl so everything was soaking wet, but.. WOO! omg! This is the first time breeding for me ever, and I've been waiting 3 years for finally getting into breeding ball pythons! This is just too exciting!!

My female is pretty huge tho, 2400 grams, and 5 years old. Never been bred before. I'm hoping she'll give me a nice clutch!

1) first there is waiting for folicles
2) then there is Post Ov Shed.
3) then wait for the eggs...
4) after that it's 60 more days in the bator wondering what you got.
Then one day tadah they pip and it's like Christmas

Why there are relatively few photos of locks:
They tip the water bowl, pee everywhere, and spread urates all over the walls of the bin and themselves...and you find them locked, so you have to wait until they are done to clean it up, lol.

Getting the lock is the easy part, getting 1-2-3-4 above is the real challenge
