New Lesser ASF feeding

I picked up this little guy from winged wolf. Finally got him to eat an ASf. First couple tries he was not interested. This time he crossed the cage to get it before i had the lid to his cage off. Hungry little guy. Awesome feeding response.

They might be illegal there because they are invasive. They produce like mad and like the warmer weather. They cant survive outside here in Nebraska so if any escape they are short lived. They would thrive in california probably.

Yeah, that's the reasoning I've heard, and I guess it makes sense... same reason hedgehogs, gerbils and ferrets are illegal here, I believe.

Does that include frozen ones?

I just tried my holdout hatchlings with an F/T (mouse hopper sized ) ASF and one of them struck and coiled like a goodun.

I can't think why it would be illegal to order a box of frozen ones to try any stubborn non-feeders.

But then I am often wrong about laws.

Wow, that lesser is really pretty. I love the reduced pattern and bright yellows. Good job getting it to eat :-)
