    Loose Skin?

    Ok i just got a new adult like 3 years old BP and his skin is pretty loose i read it could be dehydration or internal mites not sure what to do ?

    Could be many things, make sure you offer alot of water, and also attempt tp feed it could be just way under fed. As far as internal mites I have no experience, but if you offer water and food help ruling things out. If you have pictures it would help.

    I've never heard of internal mites but I have heard of parasites. I'll bet if you feed that snake really well it will fill it's skin out. A vet check might help as well.

    from what i've heard loose skin and a pyramid shaped back is the result of poor diet or it has fasted for awhile!.. start feeding it every 7 days or after it poops!

    ok thnks guys im gonna go ahead and make sure hes fed just right and has plenty of water and in about a week or 2 ima see if he looks better or give him a lil more time and if it dont work i will take him to the vet or this really good reptile store that i kno of

    If it is only like this right before the vent, he/she may have just defecated recently. It does not appear to be dehydration, but definitely keep a water bowl available to him/her at all times. My guess is that he/she will be back loose the loose skin after a few meals.

    ok thnks but yea that was more near the middle of the body and its like that all over the body so most likly i would say dehydration
