Does anyone have a snake that wags it's tail?
Last week when I went to feed my new lesser he looked at the prey and his tail started waggin, then he struck and he settled down. Today I went in to check on him and when I picked him up his tail was wagging. It stopped after a second but it was fairly entertaining. When I get him eating for me and actually start handling him I'll have to see if he keeps doing this.

I think it is a mature male thing if I remember correctly. Some kind of breeding thing.
I have seen it happen with other ball pythons, not my own though.
It is pretty hilarious. I think if you check youtube for "ball python tail wagging" you should get some videos of it.

Hrm, that's interesting. I notice that your female, like my new lesser, has a rather long and slender tail, while my other BPs have noticibly thicker tails. Perhaps the two are linked.

I doubt it because all of my females but two were tail waggin that have fatter tails than she does. I just happened to have the camera there when she was doing it.

I haven't really noticed it on the ball pythons. The Angolan Pythons have more of "tail" after their vent and they wag it around alot when feeding. I think they kind of use it to attract attention away from their mouth when they are ready to strike, lol.

My female Woma only wags her tail when she's really ticked off at me. Sometimes, she does it so violently that she flips her shavings around!

All of my females do it before breeding and some of my males will do it sometimes before feeding
