    Question on ball python happiness

ok so ever since i switched to a plastic bin the other day my humidity has been much better. i also bought to digital thermometers and one of them reads humidity as well. in the cool end im getting about 80-82deg, near the middle it runs between 84-86deg, and in the warm end im getting 90.9, and the humidity runs between 55-60%. so from what i've read, my gradients are good and the humidity is good, i also have a hide in the warm end and one in the cooler end. i've been noticing now though that my ball python is curled up in one or the other most of the time. she explores a little bit during the day and a bit more at night before i go to bed. so im just wondering is she happy/content and thats why she is curled up hidden away most of the time, or is this a bad thing and she should be more active?

If she is curled up in a corner she is happy, that is a happy ball python.

I would say that if she is feeding regularly and shedding right she is happy. If not then maybe there is a problem.

Re: Question on ball python happiness

she has been feeding regularly. ate about 3 days before her eyes went blue, and then 3 days later after she got the skin off her eyes, but she wasn't done shedding. her shed was kinda crappy, came off in pieces at first, and i know it was my fault i had her in a tank and the humidity was too low. but i gave her warm baths to help her and the one night i was holding her she shed the rest in my hands in two big pieces. its was kinda cool actually she used my hands as friction and pulled out her skin in my hands, definitely a neat experience. but i fixed the humidity problem now that i have her in a plastic tub so all seems good. she stays an hour or two in her hide in the cool end then moves to the one in the warm end and stays there for a bit, so its back and forth. she curls up and looks cozy, so if shes happy im happy.
