    Breed a piebald to ???

Like I said in an earlier post...it seems nearly impossible to own just one of these guys!

So my piebald female is a few years away from "breeding status"...so I've got plenty of time to think about this...I'm considering getting a second BP, so I'm thinking, why not a male and produce some gorgeous little ones? Obviously, my main consideration in getting a male would be getting a morph that I would love to have...babies would just be icing on the cake! I've got alot of research to do...but I'd like ya'll's input, too...what would be a neat morph to breed to a piebald? Personally, my second favorite morph would be a queen bee...but I don't know much about the genetics just yet to understand what might be produced from their pairing!

Anyway, any input would be greatly appreciated! Breeding Betty is something I never really considered, so I'm brand new to this and look forward to learning as much as I can!

To get visable Piebalt babies the male you select will either need to be het or homo for piebald. Pastel het piebald, cinnamon het piebald, etc. Otherwise all your babies will be normal looking (unless you use a codom/dom morph male, still no pieds though =) .

Oh no! Sorry, I may not have been very clear in my post (got a few glasses of wine in me!)...LOL! I'm not necessarily interested in producing more pieds, just something different! So I guess I'm looking for a mate that, together with my pied, would produce something visually different either in their mating or in a second mating back to either my pied or the male...that's all! I know I'm probably making the process sound more simplistic than it actually is...that's why I'd love ya'll's help! Yes, I live in Texas...

It depends on what you want really then. You could get a black pastel or cinny male to start a Panda Pied project. You could go for the queen bee you like and get spider het pied, bumble het pied, lesser bee het pied and queen bee het pieds. Then work on BEL pieds.

Dreamsicle in a couple generations (get a Lavender Albino)
Panda Pied in a couple generations (Super Black Pastel or Black Pastel)

Then you have all your double and triple codominant trait snakes. Things with Lesser or Fire in them are my favorite but something really nice to work with would be a Red Axanthic or one of the other cool major projects around now.

    I love the http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...hreadid=103891

But a really nice snake to work with for you would be either a Pewter or a Pewter (Black Pastel).

And there are always Phantoms to work with
    Ball Pythons 1.1 Lesser, Pastel
1.0 Lesser Pastel, 0.0.7 mixed babies
