I finally weighed my 3 ft approx 6 year old probably male today and he was 720 grams. I have had him for 8 months, and he has been a amazing eater. He is getting a small rat once per 8-9 days right now. With his previous owner, he was offered the correct amount and size of food, but all he would take was a adult mouse and it HAD to be freshly pre killed. I finally got him switched about 3 months ago and by an estimate, he has probably gained 150-200 grams. Alot of people on here talk about females being able to breed when they are 1500 grams, about 3 years old. I cannot even imagine a 3 year old that big. It seems like they would almost have to be powerfed slightly and even then there is no guarantee. How do they get that big that quick. My other question is even though males are smaller, will he reach the 1000 gram mark even though his growth was somewhat stunted for awhile because he would not eat?
