Fleas???
Does anyone know a sure fire way to get rid of fleas? We have gotten a flea infestation in our home in the past weeks and I am going crazy trying to kill them. Ive bought sprays at lowes and carpet flea killer at walmart and neither work. I have no clue how they got here. We do not keep any furry critters in our home. And in our last house even when we did have an inside dog we never had fleas. But they seem to be everywhere here and I can not get rid of them.

Don't waste your time fumigating your house with commercial products. We had a very bad stray cat issue a couple of years ago and my house was also badly infested with fleas, even though our cat is an indoor cat. After fumigating many times we ended up having an exterminator come in; I wish I was keeping snakes at the time because I do think that PAM might have worked better since it gets the eggs as well.

Re: Fleas???
After almost a year of a horrible infestation I wasn't able to get rid of them until I treated all of the animals with frontline, gave them baths every 3-5 days to wash off as much of the flea dirt, eggs and fleas as possible and then covered the floor with Adam's flea powder. After a few days I was barely seeing any fleas on the animals or elsewhere and within 2 weeks they were completely gone.
I had spent quite a few hundred dollars on everything I could find, but it wasn't until using frontline and the adam's carpet powder that I was able to get rid of them. After a year of being bitten myself by these horrible things I am so glad I was finally able to get rid of them.

Omg; I feel your pain. We had them bad in NY. We moved about a month ago, and treated our cat just before leaving with Feline Advantage.. All of our posessions in a very-hot UHaul trailer must have killed them off, because we haven't seen or gotten bitten in over a month.
But I too was getting eaten alive by them, with no recourse. Tried all sorts of repellants before bed.. tried sprays from the grocery store.. no dice. My cat had been treated monthly with Adv, but the strays from outside were walking by the house bringing them in..
