    if he is shedding

    if my bp is shedding should i hold him or leave him alone. i am bored right now. and usually when i am bored i hold my bp. bt if it isnt a good idea then i wont hold him

    Of course not...you'll probably get bit because your bp cant see well & it will strike & bite anything with high temperature thinking you're a predator...

    There's not really any proof to back this up but I have read that handling snakes during shed can damage the outer (old) layer of skin and interfere with the shedding process. For me, personally, if there's a possibility something can harm my snakes (like pine bedding) I will avoid it at all costs.

    Then there's the whole part of he's blind and probably wouldn't enjoy it at all. My snakes get very defensive in shed, usually if I get a hisser they're in blue.

    alright that makes sense. thanks for all the info. i want my snake to be happy all the time. and if me holding him when he is in blue is gonna piss him off then i am gonna leave him be.

    Snake ownership involves a lot of patience. It's a pain sometimes. Just raise up your humidity, the better his shed goes the sooner you can hold him!

    oh ya every time he sheds the humidity goes up to make it as easy as possible
