Yep it's a pastel, she/he just browned out a bit with age. The green eye thing can be hard to tell sometimes.

    Re: Pastel or not?

Its a Pastel.. Many will "brown out" as they age unless they are a lemon or blond line. They should all have some shade of green eyes but it can vary from deep dark green to light green. Some even have grey green or blue grey green eyes. Like my female does.

The problem with pastels is even tho they are a great addition to any combo, the darker the pastel, the higher the chances they will throw darker babies or combos. When breeding its best to choose one that is very light with lots of blushing and flames. They pass on these traits.

Your doesnt look bad in my opinion. About a medium quality if its got nice green eyes.

if you do go pick it up, be aware that it might not even be the same snake. I saw an add on another site where the animal being sold was a hypo, and the guy picked it up and it wasnt the same animal at all, not only was it not a hypo, it wasn't the animal in the photograph. shady business practices if you ask me. :/

CL can find some good stuff you just gotta know what you're looking for

Good point here. Make a note of that picture. Or make a color copy of it to bring along. She does have some nice markings. Make a mental note of the flames she has along her sides. The creamy color of the bottom half of her body. The blushing in her markings on top and how her head is nice and light, especially toward the back of her head. I say "her" but you didnt say if it was a male or female so im just guessing. Thats a very low price if it IS a female though. Just make sure if you buy it, you dont get scammed. Ask for its history, who produced it, birth date and exact weight.

You should keep a log of all these details of all your animals anyway if you plan to breed. No one will buy from someone who knows nothing about their animals. Its just good business practice. Anyone who refuses to give this information is not someone id buy from.
