as requested, 12 year old normal male pix

Got a few requests last night in my new pickups thread to show more pics of my normal male. I got him back in '97 and he was probed in '99 as male.

Unfortunately through the years he did get a pretty bad burn, recovered fine but you can still see some heavy scar tissue

No set feeding schedual anymore he just eats whenever he wants which ranges from 1-3 medium/large rats a month for about 4 months out of the year and fasts for most of the other time and his home is a 48x18x20 enclosure.

Nice. I have a female I got a while back that has some heavy scaring on her back. Probably from a heat lamp of something. You boy look nice and healthy. I love seeing the bigger males. You don't see them very often.

Really. I feed some of my snakes a med rat a week. Then again my med here are more like small but they never fast. I do have a few picky eaters but I doubt its due to what they eat when they finally do. I am assuming you have experience with this if so I am actually interested in hearing about it. I love learning new things.

He looks very good for 12 years old!!! I always say, do whatever works best for both the animal and yourself. If he's used to eating like that, then continue doing so. Everyone has different ways and methods when it comes to keeping and feeding reptiles. Keep up the good work. He looks fablous!

Thanks He's my baby, have had him the longest out of all my pets, closest to him is a chilean rose tarantula I've had for 8 years, don't know how old she was when I got her but she was definitely mature.

You must've done something right, because he looks great! Imo, normals are the greatest.

Thanks, lots of book reading before getting him since I didn't have the internet back then, that and a really helpful store owner who had the patience to deal with me
