HAHAHAHAHA, that's great!! Pythons are so funny.

One of mine broke her ceramic hide once. I heard this POP but couldn't figure out what it was. When I got up in the morning to check on her, she'd snapped the hide in half and was looking at me like, "I'm sorry I broke my hide, Mom. Can I get a new one?"

    Haha, poor girl!

I'm going to the pet store this next Friday for feeders and I think I'm going to look at the hides. If theres no good middle size then I guess I can leave her with this one. She seems content with it.

    Re: Time for new hides?

I got the black plastic one with a opening in the side ( see one in the pictures of the pinstripe andrack post. )) I wish i had told my buddy to pick more up they nicer than using the plastic bowls. But I think he said the ones I got were like 8 bucks each. and with 23 snakesI need about 15 of the larger size and one super sized one ( about the size of a 60 quart tub ) for the boa.

    Re: Time for new hides?

LOL... they do seem to enjoy "wearing" their hides, rather than sleeping under them. Mona can barely fit in her cave, but it's the largest size they make - so unless I make something homemade, it will have to do! She doesn't mind though, and I even caught her & Toby sharing it yesterday (they're breeding now) - sooooo cute.

    Re: Time for new hides?

faffy likes to do that to the new hide I made for him... so I just put some weight on top so he doesn't lift it up... and before I made that hide he had a small half log that that he flipped upside down into his water dish
