Weird or not?
Anyways when I feed my rufous beaked snake, and my anaconda when I feed them when they hit the prey I always say: "That's my dawg."... Does anybody find this weird? More so for my rufous beaked snake because when he strikes he launches across the tank.

Eh, I don't think so. I encourage mine when feeding them, and when they eat (especially the babies), I say, "Good girl/boy! You're a good girl/boy!" in a baby-voice.

I thought it was kind of weird, but what you say is even weider, especially if it's in a baby voice. lol

You're not alone dude. I say things like "Good job!" and "You're such a fatty!" when they eat....

Yea it just excites me when I see them eat. Even though my anaconda is a lazy eater, my little rufous beaked snake flys across the tank. A few feedings ago I seen him come out his hide and hit the mouse so hard that he and the mouse went to the other side of the tank. I guess the reason I get so excited is because Kratos(my rufous beaked snake) is a toss up weither or not he eats. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't, then sometimes he waits till after the pinky dies. Hopefully he will get out of this habit.

Yeah I talk to them when they eat and when I'm cleaning and what not. You can hear me say things like:

COME ON please just eat the damn thing already.

Etc etc.
