    Finally!

At the beginning of August I purchased a female pastel hatchling from a breeder with mixed reviews on the BOI. I was told she had no feeding issues and was taking live hopper mice weekly. She really is gorgeous, nearly neon yellow with inky black and beautiful blushing. She appeared to be in great condition and she was placed in our QT area.

We had feeding difficulties with our little girl, whom we call Rhea. She seemed absolutely terrified of our F/T hoppers. After about 3 weeks we purchased 2 live hoppers to try. No reaction, she seemed afraid of them as well and not interested in food. I contacted the breeder who said she had missed a meal before shipping as he doesn't ship snakes with food in their bellies. Because she looked so thin, triangular and with her spine clearly showing, we assist fed her a F/T mouse hopper and left her be for another week.

3 feeding attempts later and she has finally eaten. Not only has she eaten on her own but she took a rat pink for us. I'm so relieved that she ate on her own and am hoping that our breeder rats can keep up with 3 hungry balls (and more to come soon I'm sure). After nearly 2 months it felt so good this morning to look in on my girls before leaving for work and seeing little lumps in their bellies.

Anyway, thank you all for sharing tips and tricks to others. It's likely that without BPnet I'd still have a hungry lil pastel at home right now.
