    Gideon and Daiserbeam (duw)

Gideon and Daiser are two my favorite ball pythons. Daiserbeam was our first adult normal (and I think our prettiest normal, but don't tell the others) and Gideon... Well... Once I saw Gideon, I HAD to have him. He's a yellowbelly, and possibly a fire. I purchased him through a broker, and he originally came from Ian G, was sold to somebody else, and eventually made his way to the broker. By then there were some misplaced records, and it was unclear whether he came from the yellowbelly clutch or the yellowbelly/fire clutch. He's most likely "just" a yellowbelly, and he's just GORGEOUS. Of course, I am a bit biased.

Since Gideon arrived here, I've been dreaming about someday breeding him with Daiser. He was probably ready to go last year, but I wanted to give him an extra season. Since the beginning of September, I've been putting him in with Daiser for a few days at a time, and then taking him out. They've both been eating like pigs, and I haven't seen any action at all, so I kept him out the last time I removed him. A couple of hectic weeks went by, and we were getting ready for a huge party yesterday and due to my own laziness (Gideon's tub was dirty and I didn't have time to clean it right them) I put Gideon back in with Daisy and then forgot about it.

Imagine my surprise when I walked into the reptile room this morning, found Gideon's tub empty (THAT gets your heart racing!) and then found THIS in Daiserbeam's tub:

(He looks so proud of himself)

I did a silent happy dance like you wouldn't BELIEVE! They're still locked up tonight! The prospect of having little Gideons and little Daisers slithering around makes me giddy, lol!

I mean, how can these two make anything but the prettiest babies:
