Hey all,
Ok so i just recently got 3 ball pythons about a week ago. 2 males and a female. 09s. I have them in a Tub rack setup 12qt. 1 small plastic hide and 1 small plastic water dish all identical. Tempetures are good i have them on a thermo and a dimmer back up humidity is good. Sitting where it is supposed to be via husbandry and care sheets. So anyway i fed them for the first time today the first male took him about 5 mins of the mouse roaming around then i finally dangled with tongs a ways away from him let him stalk it then dropped it and he struck and took it down nicly. The second male same story accept he took it straight from the tongs. ( im feeding out of the tubs in a different slightly larger tub.) So finally the females turn i put her int he tub and she instantly started stalking the mouse (feeding adult mice) And struck it once solid but released and didnt coil. So i dangled with tongs (never once dangleing over her always letting her come to the mouse) She probably struck this mouse 10-15 times but never once coiled a couple times it looked like she was going to coil and then would stop. I cant figure it out to save the life of me. She has been the most active of the 3 snakes though so im guessing its a possibility shes just not comfortable in her surroundings yet. Anyway any ideas would be appreciated and mostly when i need to try and feed her again. I think waiting without disturbing her for around 5 more days and then trying is adequate but tell me what ya think.
-Thanks-
