    Baby Snake pottying?

Is it normal for small BPs to use the bathroom often? I have a spider male, 109 grams today (empty weight) and he's used the bathroom four times since I got him a week and three days ago, is this normal?

    Re: Baby Snake pottying?

If you got him at the Raleigh show, he is probably just been holding on to it because of the stress of being transported around, and living in display tubs for several days. Once he settles in he should become more "regular." But then again, he may just be a frequent evacuator....

Lol! It's not too bad, but could it be a sign of any illness?

Number 2. He's pee'd maybe once since I got him, and it was urates without liquid. All of the poos have been tiny except the one that was right after he ate.

    Re: Baby Snake pottying?

You can always take the poo to a vet for a fecal exam, which I recommend. As soon as my new ones drop the deuce I'll take it to the vet and schedule check-ups for the snakes to make sure they don't have parasites or anything. The best thing to do is just keep track of when he does it, and if he keeps going excessively or it gets runny then definitely go to a vet...
