Confused?

I've been studying about red tail boas but since they can grow up yo ten feet or more im not really sure its kinda scary that it will turn on me when it reaches that length...i've also heard that they can be very agressive...is this true?

BCIs stay smaller than BCCs, and males tend to stay much smaller than females. I have an adult male BCI red-tail that is around five feet, and does not have nearly as much girth as my adult female BCI does. You could also look into dwarf boas, for example, Saboage, Pearl Island, boas. They top out at around five feet and do not have much as much girth as a common red-tail boa. BTW, none of my boas are aggressive in the slightest.

And one thing I think would be good to take note of is that just because a snake has reached a certain size does not make it more likely to "turn on you". If a snake is aggressive then it is aggressive, it really has nothing to do with size. Of course I do understand being more afraid of a 10'+ snake attacking you than one that is 5'.
But like Wh00h0069 suggested, if you're afraid of snakes that will get large then it is probably best to stick with a dwarf species if you are interested in boas. Getting a snake that will get large and being afraid of it are not a good mix.
