    Breeding sizes for milks?

Well we all know that male BPs can breed at a very young age and small size. But I wonder how small a male (Honduran in my case) milk snake can breed safely. This will be the second winter for mine but a few are still a little on the small side because the last owners were just maintenance feeding, every week or 2. For instance, will a 3.5 foot male be alright with a 5+ foot female? Will this size difference increase the chance of cannibalism or failed breeding (granted they will be cooled)?

Milks are not known for canabalism like most kings. A 3.5' male should be fine with a 5' female. Just keep an eye on them for the first few minutes to see how they react to one another. The only problem I could see is the male just not being mature enough, but I doubt that would be the case. I say go for it. Be sure to feed your female frequently....your male will probably lose interest in food while breeding. Good luck.

Thanks, I got the same answer from someone else so I'm not really worried about it. Just wondered since the info wasn't really out there.
