So my bab spider was soaking when i saw him a minute ago i was about to feed...now ive herd this isnt realy normal behavior for a BP so
i was wondering could this be a sign of an RI because i think i might have heard some possible popping noise earlier when handlin him...thanks in advance! Sorry for typos used my cell phone.

    Re: Found my BP soaking

Is his humidity fine, I've heard they will often soak before a shed if the humidity is not high enough

I don't know enough about RI's to know if that could be the problem

    Re: Found my BP soaking

a ball soaking in water is normal. it usually means that you need to raise the terrariums humidity. he might be going into shed. are his eyes cloudy or starting to cloud up? you also mentioned that you thought you heard a popping noise. keep a close eye on him and make sure the temps in his terrarium are right with a proper gradient. check for mucous build up by his mouth/heat vents. if there is get him to a vet right away. also if you have more then on ball, keep him quarantined in another room to prevent your other snakes from getting sick. another reason for soaking can be mites. yet another reason for quarantine.

if he is going to shed try to get his humidity up around the 80% mark.

Your video is not processed. I think he should be able to take bigger then a fuzzy though, so instead of feeding him 2 fuzzies, feed him something more appropriate for him. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about RI yet, I think when you seen that he was soaking that you kind of remembered hearing him pop when breathing. Just make sure your temperatures are proper on both sides, and make sure the humidity stays always above 50%, and raise it a bit when shedding and you'll be fine.

Is that one of the spiders that was listed on CL for $75? In one of my emails to the seller, he said he has one that eats funny.
