Substrate
Just wondering what kinda substrates you guys use for your leopard gecko, I've used towels, and bark...towels look so boring, reptibark had bugs, I'm thinking aspen, but i'm scared he might swallow some while catching his food,
Any other suggestions?
Anthony

Re: Substrate
Tile and slate work awesome. Quick cleanup and looks natural.
I use eco earth for the humid hide.

Re: Substrate
I personally use paper towels but I was going to use shelf liners in all my tubs at first....

Re: Substrate
I have a combination of ceramic tile (warm side) and paper towels in my tanks. It's easy to maintain and the tile I chose is sand color so looks pretty good. I'd worry about eco-earth holding too much humidity, shoot for a dry environment with an enclosed humid hide.

Re: Substrate
Paper towels here; they may look "boring," but if you get the soft plain white ones, they at least don't look bad, and they're super easy to clean. Remove, replace, done. Easy to clean = more willing to clean regularly = good for the animals.
