Question Keep my ghost or trade him for a lady 09 cinny?

I have the chance to trade my male ghost (around 700g) for a 09 female cinnamon. My collection is in my sig. I haven't seen the cinnamon yet but assuming it's a nice one I think I may do the trade since there is nothing that I have immediate plans involving the ghost.

I am just starting out and I think that a female cinnamon would add more than my male ghost. And with prices going the way they are I can either get a a ghost(male or female) for less and stuff already het for ghost in a year or two and not lose any time compared to me keeping the ghost and breeding him out.

Any input? I am leaning towards it but I do already have a smoking cinny so I'm not missing that from my collection.

And super Cinnies are quite awesome!

Why would trade a breeder male visual Recessive for a baby co-dom female??

And a male Recessive that's almost if not already ready to breed? You can make 100% het Ghosts for EVERY girl you put that boy to.

If you're ready to do should an imbalanced trade at your own expense- you should check out my Black Pastel girls... I got two of them & you could take your pick.

Actually, I can't offer you that deal- because it is too much like robbing you. The person should be offering additional cash or another animal to offset the imbalance IMHO.

I'd say 300.00 a pair for a pair of het ghost is about right.. You'll find them for more and you'll find them for less, but that's about average.

I think you're missing the point, you can breed that Hypo to any of your morph girls too & it adds value to those offspring. You can turn a 2 generation project & produce your own designers.

If a normal girl is all that's 1500g or more this fall, breed her to your male, hold back a girl or 2 sell the rest for whatever the going rate is at that time.

My point is there is potential ROI (return on investment) THIS season with your male in the form of offspring & an '09 female will not be ready to produce until 2012 or so (on average).

I agree with everyone else there is no need to trade for a cinnamon just breed her to the normal and when you sell a pair buy a cinny or Black pastel and pocket the rest in cash

Visual recessives should always hold their value better than Codom. You can get great combo power by making hets. You have that Spider female just waiting to make Spiders het Hypos

Or bees! But the poor girl is injured and has been off feed for a while

still debating if she needs to see the vet again. The gashes haven't gotten worse but they haven't gotten much better either. She's been off feed for like 6 weeks or so now. Still at 950g though so she hasn't lost a ton of weight.
