its not a great picture, but this was found on my daughters porch lastnight. she lives in fort worth texas, if that helps.

all she said was it was mean, im guess it struck at them when they picked it up.

any ideas what it is?

I'm no expert, but it looks like some sort of ratsnake to me.

This is a job for Ben Biscy. I think that's how to spell his name. He's member here and quite the expert on ratsnakes of all sorts.

My guess is it's either a Texas or a Black, but he would be the one to check with.
