are RTB's arboreal

hey i was eventually wanting to get a snake (somewhat arboreal) to put in an enclosure im going to custom build

the dimensions will be 5' tall x 7' long x 3' wide

From what I've read, RTB are semi-arboreal when they are younger, when they grow up they are pretty much in the ground.

They aren't opposed to climbing at all, and will do so if they have the space. They are strong climbers, and very curious, so giving them vertical space to explore wouldn't be a bad thing... especially if there's still plenty of floor space (as you're talking about).

That cage would be perfect for an RTB. However, don't expect it to use all of the height. They're like BPs; they *can* climb but aren't very good at it and don't do it often.

my rtb is 3 years old and he climbs like crazy-- its really cute when i find him handing out on the highest part of the tank he can climb to.
