    Killer Bee's

    Hi Guys,
For fathers day my daughters got me what I think is a really smokin' mojave boy. So I have decided that my next purchase is going to be a killer bee female to breed him to. My reasoning being that a pairing like that will give me pastels, mojaves, pastjaves, spiders and all combinations of spiders. Thats my thinking. What do all you breeders think and what are high quality Killer bee's going for this year?
    Thanks,
    Mike Kelly

    Re: Killer Bee's

    Hi,

    Just a quick point.

Breeding a killerbee to a mojave will not produce mojaves or spiders - since a killerbee is a superpastel everything produced has to have the pastel gene in it.

7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

Thanks Dr. Del, you are right about using the killer bee, My Bad. And that was actually my point that breeding would produce nothing less than a pastel.
    Thanks,

Bumblebees are always an "ooh" and "ah" snake for those inexperienced with ball pythons. Because of this, a killerbee is always a solid investment in my opinion

    Re: Killer Bee's

I think that killer bees are one of the best designer morphs for the money. They are power house breeders now and forever. I would say that if I were going to spend the money to buy a killer bee, I would absolutely get a male. If you have the cash to get a KB, you have the cash to get a female mojave, if that is the pairing you are aiming for. killer bee male is 6x the breeder that a female killer bee is, being that you can breed that bad ass to five or six girls annually at least, producing approximately 30-40 babies, the least of which is a pastel, where a female can only produce one clutch a year, if that. Not to mention that you will be breeding a male a solid year before a female would be ready to breed. Get the male, then get whatever amazing normal and co-dom females you can, and you'll be producing tons of killer combos from that lone power house male. Unless you already have a smokin hot 3-4 combo male breeder or two, spend the cash on the best killer bee you can find.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

$1,900-$1,500 is the price I've been seeing for killer bees.
