    Just a normal.

My little normal male finally shed his skin! I took him outside today for the first time. I apologise for the lack of photographic skill. I'm not very good.

    Before shot.

ohai you can't see me. :3

There appears to be some shed left on the tip of his tail. How do I go about this? Manually remove it myself after letting him soak for a while, or will it go away by itself soon?

Rest in links because I am far too lazy to resize.

    No, remove that skin ASAP.

If you don't, the skin on the tip of the tail adds up, cuts the blood supply off, and the edge eventually must be cut off by someone who knows what they are doing.

I pull it off with my fingernails (gently). I don't want any shed on the tip to restrict blood flow.

    Re: Just a normal.

Alright, excellent. I just spent about five minutes gently slipping it off him. Good thing I asked. Thanks!

I know he's not very impressive looking, but he's my first reptile. I'm really enjoying taking care of him. He's wonderful.

I like the one were it looks like he's on your leg (jeans) with the sun shining on him. Very handsome snake! And your first is always that more special no matter what they are! My first ball is a normal male and he'll never leave me and will always be my favorite!

You should be able to get that shed off easy. Soak him for a few minutes in luke warm water, then gently pull the skin off.
