    Picking a JCP

So JCPs obviously have some color change inbetween the time when they're babies to when they're adults. I love the ones that have a nice clean black/yellow contrast. What features would you be looking for in a baby to have a high contrast adult?

Good banding with good adults. Good tipping on the sides. Without a lot of experience it's hard to tell. I honestly believe when you buy from one of the reputable online breeders the higher the price tag the nicer the animal.

Your best bet is to contact some of the top breeders. Take a look at the adults of the babies in question and tell the breeder exactly what you are looking for. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
    You can try www.reptilesbyah.com or www.australianaddiction.com .

    Re: Picking a JCP

The guy we got our JCP from is known for selectively breeding for bright/high contrast animals. We've seen his breeding stock so we knew what we had to look forward to. He also took the time to compare his two remaining males available to help us pick out the one that had the most potential to turn out like his parents. And so far, we're NOT disappointed!

Like MPenn said, any reputable breeder should be able to help you find what you're looking for!
