Explosive poops?!?!
I've only had my ball for about a year ..but I've NEVER heard or seen such a crazy thing as I did on Saturday. I hear the craziest noise ( I can't even describe it..maybe like a gurgling?!) coming from Honey bee's tank, I freaked out & flipped on the light in the room just in time to the end of this explosion spray all over the left side of the tank. I look at his face & he's doing that yawning, open mouth thing...I thought he was choking, I had no idea wth was going on. Then he was fine, but seemed to be breathing a little heavy. He's never done this before & I really wasn't aware that snakes get explosive diarrhea. His stool has always been a normal consistancy. Should I be immediately concerned or can I wait to see how his next bowel movement is?
People have reccomended http://www.lllreptile.com/products/4...--25-gram-tube cause they think it is parasites
Now all he is doing moping about

Re: Explosive poops?!?!
I had a huge female normal bp that had an explosive poop. I mean it was everywhere in her tub. She made the gurgling sounds and had her mouth open. This was a once and done occurrence with my snake. If you feel the need to treat for parasite, then please take a poop sample to a qualified herp vet to confirm this. I would not go giving the snake anything until I had it confirmed that it is indeed parasites.

Re: Explosive poops?!?!
I was worried too when that happened with my big normal girl. Good on you for taking the poop to the vet!

Take a fecal sample in just in case, but the explosive poops happen once in a while. I wouldn't be overly concerned, but it doesn't hurt to run a fecal test just in case.
