That doesn't really look like anything to worry about IMO. Could easily be caused by him rubbing up against cage decor or something like that. Just keep an eye on the area and watch for any changes, but I don't think it's a problem.

Even though it is all the way down his scales? And some of his scales peel back a little bit?
