Thats why they look so pretty!
Our bull is actually a good bull and came from great lines. Also he gives out solid black calves which is a hard find. So far over the years of having him we have had 2 solid black calves. Usually we will have the white/black ones.

Your other two goats are boers.
I want to get some guineas for the tick control as well.

Wow! Love the longhorns! Not sure my pasture would be up to those beasts though~ my neighbor had his polled cattle (angus X I think) in there last week and they took my fence down for me! Quite the adventure to convince them to go on back in!
Beautiful animals though! Really would love to have some in that front pasture~ but I'm still learning to work with the goats~ not sure I'm up to an animal I can't wrassle to the ground if I have too just yet!

The horns make everything difficult. Even if they dont mean to if they swing their head back you have to be on guard! And then you cant use a normal head gate to hold them. We have to get a push pen, you get them to walk in and it closes around them so they cant move... horns still stick out. They make vetting real hard! The babies are adorable though with their little devil horns!
I think the goats are harder to keep, at least our castrated males are. We have another goat who is angry!!! He will ram anything and everybody. He is kept with the horses and they keep him in line better than the other goats. He was mean to the mini donkeys so that didnt work either.

Re: Some of the farm animals
Paco is a very rude goat. But he is a rescue and deserved to live with what he went through. We just dont pay much attention to him and always have a pitch fork when we go in his field. I think he is a miniature goat as well. He isnt as big at the 3 pictured. I couldnt find a picture of him to show you.
I love the look of the longhorns. Its very different than other breeds, especially when they are out in the pasture! And believe me they make caring for the dogs hard because you want to watch them and listen to them mooing. Its great!

That is darn good of you to care for him. In many other situations he would end up in the auction barn. Thumbs up to you!!
