    tons of food

my male tiger who is 12 feet and 33lbs, took down a 7 1/2lb rabbit this past thursday, and sunday took a 1 1/2lber and today, pounded down a 2 1/2lber (the last two smaller ones are ones that my other retics didnt want) so hes had a total of 11 1/2lbs of rabbits over the last 5 days. not bad

    Re: tons of food

i meant to add on to that thread of mine, i dont recommend that type of feeding nor do i do it. this was a rare, very very rare exception. i am trying to get my other retics on rabbits and having a heck of a time doing it. normally i have f/k prey items and if they dont eat i freeze it and offer it at a different time, when my big tiger hasnt eaten in while. i had frozen rabbits though here, and didnt want to waste them. again, i do not condone this feeding. i usually feed about 20-25% of body weight in the winter months every 5-8 weeks, and 10-12% or so in the summer months every 2-4 weeks. this was an exception not my rule. i realize this was like 45% or so of his body weight, and again, this isnt my normal feeding regime
